This virtual event will be hosted live on Zoom from 12:00-5:30pm ET on both days, with recordings available for 6 months. Recipes for cooking demos will be shared ahead of time for those who want to cook along in real-time!

  • Navigating Perimenopause/Menopause through the RDN & MD Lens
    with Marisa Sweeney, DCN, RDN, CSSD, RYT and Rehka Mandel, MD
    In this presentation, Dr. Rekha Mandel, MD will delve into current literature on both medical and lifestyle interventions for women in perimenopause and menopause, highlighting how these approaches can be integrated to effectively alleviate symptoms and support overall well-being. Then, Dr. Marisa Sweeney, DCN, RDN, CSSD, RYT, will explore the latest research and evidence-based medical nutrition therapy for women in perimenopause and menopause. Together, they will underscore the multifaceted nature of health and wellness for women during this transformative stage of life. Dr. Sweeney will then lead a cooking demo for an easy and delicious plant based recipe.

  • Beyond the Mediterranean Diet: A Look at Heritage Diets from Asia, Latin America, and Africa
    with Kelly LeBlanc, MLA, RD, LDN and Sara Baer-Sinnott
    In this session, Kelly LeBlanc, MLA, RD, LDN, and Sara Baer-Sinnott will give a research update on the Mediterranean Diet, African Heritage Diets, Latin American Heritage Diets, and Asian Heritage Diets. Because one single plate or diet does not fit all, nutritional professionals will gain a deeper understanding of the substantial variation of foods and flavors that exist within these broader dietary patterns, and how they can be applied to improve patient outcomes.

  • Nutrition for GLP-1 Optimization: All You Need to Know
    with Ashley Koff, RD
    Whether your patient ever uses a GLP-1 agonist, GLP-1 optimization is for them - because our body makes this and other peptide hormones whose responsibilities impact several aspects of metabolic health. Ashley Koff, RD will give you a framework for assessment and personalization of nutrition recommendations to optimize GLP-1 and that takes into account any usage of an agonist - historic, current or future. To take it from concept to practice, Koff will team up with Jackie Topol, MS, RD for an interactive cooking demonstration. Learn to make GLP-1 optimization deliciously doable for you and your patients.
